20090331 cp 0124
Laying Telford Paving on Freeport Road. Telford paving is a paving method developed by Thomas Telford in 1757. This method involves the laying of broken stone pieces approximately 3-7 inches in diameter on top of a prepared soil surface and packing smaller stones between which is then compacted. A second stone layer is then added. All work is done manually.
