Fifth Avenue and Dinwiddie Street looking west to Downtown along Fifth Avenue showing the 76 Hamilton Streetcar, the Fifth Avenue High School, the Ralph Schugar Funeral Home, and surrounding businesses in the Bluff/Uptown neighborhood. Fifth Avenue High School, designed by local architect Edward Stotz, opened in May 1896 as one of first fireproof schools in Pennsylvania. The Ralph Schugar Funeral home was founded in the Hill District in 1919 and relocated to Shadyside in 1937.
