Herr's Island Bridge

3945398c
Herr's Island Bridge. This bridge is one of the oldest surviving river bridges in the area and is now used for pedestrian traffic on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. Herr's Island was renamed Washington's Landing when the City of Pittsburgh removed industrial waste left by a century of stockyards, meat-packing plants, warehouses, and oil refineries making the island habitable.
