Flooded Cofferdam

20081028 cp 0024
View of the extent of flood damage to the unfinished cofferdam. Brilliant Pumping Station can be seen on the other side of the Allegheny River, and a bridge is visible on the right. A cofferdam is a temporary structure created to expose areas that are normally underwater so that work, such as creating supports or repairs can be completed.
