View of Exposition Park and the surrounding area during the flood of March 28, 1913. It looks across the river from Monument Hill toward downtown. Exposition Park was the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team from 1891 until the last home game on June 29, 1909. Due to its location along the Allegheny River, the stadium was flooded numerous times during its history and, consequently, the roof was torn off twice. Currently, the site sits between Heinz Field and PNC Park on the North Side.
