Design proposal for "Schenley Park Entrance" competition by Charles Wellford Leavitt (New York). Leavitt began his career as a civil engineer before taking up landscape architecture. He supervised and designed the Saratoga, Sheepshead Bay, Belmont, Toronto, and Empire City race tracks. He was also the architect behind Forbes Field in Pittsburgh.
