Design proposal for "Schenley Park Entrance" competition by Chas Downing Lay (New York). Lay attended Columbia University then Harvard. He was the consulting architect for the World Fair of 1939 in New York City. He was influential in the design of parks, town planning and schools in the northeast. He was a lead organizer of the Housatonic River Valley Conservation effort.
