General view of construction on the Bloomfield Bridge, looking northeast from the Pennsylvania Railroad. The Straub Brewing Company is visible in the distance. Connecting Bigelow Boulevard and Liberty Avenue, the bridge took one year to build. It was designed by the city's Bureau of Bridges for an approximate cost of $450,000 but built by the Fort Pitt Bridge Works. The cantilevered structure totals 2,100 feet in length.
