Atlantic Refining Co. Fill Station

2182cp
A view of the Atlantic Refining Company gasoline station on Friendship Avenue. The station is a simple building, with terra cotta material for both the roof and main structure. However, a great deal of attention is paid to ornamentation. The Atlantic Refining Company was formed from a 1911 dissolution by the federal government when it accused the Standard Oil Company, originally founded in Pittsburgh in 1868, of being a monopoly.
