    There was a Studebaker showroom under the left field bleachers of Forbes Field at that time. I wonder if the picture isn't properly located this is it?

    Ron, you are exactly correct. The confusion arises from the fact that That Bigelow Blvd, which is really a very long continuation of Grant Street from downtown, had not yet been renamed Bigelow Blvd (for the city engineer who oversaw its construction, I think) as it left downtown, so this, in fact, the corner of Grant BLVD and Forbes, in Oakland as you point out. Those are the left field bleachers striaght ahead.

    I have tagged a little off of the then-current intersection as I think "Grant and Forbes" was just the nearest intersection for the paper street that would become Schenley Drive, given the location of the bleachers in the photo.

    Also you can almost see the grade falling off tot he left where the current location of Schenley Plaza was not yet filled, the bridge shown there on the map below is reported still buried below the street:
