View of Sixth Avenue at Wylie Avenue, looking north and showing a Greek restaurant, Myer Rosenthal's dry goods store, and an Iron City Laundry. Also visible are a foot patrolman on his beat, a hokey man pushing his cart along the curb, and an advertisement for Turkish Trophies cigars.
Great map. I'm going to try to make it easy for people tagging to use these maps for help. It will be especially helpful for tagging Downtown and in the Hill District.
I try to include them with my tags wherever they're helpful, you can search them by street name which is great for abandoned or renamed streets.
I actually use them for work all of the time, real estate and rights of way rarely change without serious effort and expense, so unless an area has been "renewed" the maps a far more accurate resource for property info than anyone else offers for free online...
Is this under the Mellon Arena?
No, it's roughly in the right of way of Ross St, Wylie came all the way in to theis point where Sixth angled down from Grant.
Here's a map:
